SUPER KYLA!

10-27-09 1

My husband said that I looked like a superhero today.  But he's in the comic book biz, so I think he sees superheroes in everything .  I wonder what my super power would be...

I picked up this dress last week at Goodwill for $6.  I couldn't let that pretty gray snakeskin just sit there all by itself.  I had to bring it home to unlock its full potential.

Yesterday, I finally got around to altering it.  I whacked 15" off the hem and took in the top a little - it was quite "blousen" in it's original state.  And I also removed some serious shoulder pads!

I bought these tights last year, but have yet to wear them.  The gray was perfect for this dress!  I love the monochromatic look set off with my bright red super boots.

Today's weather was still beautiful for fall, but a little nip in the air required a light topper.  This little brocade number was the perfect weight.

You can barely see the snakeskin print in these pics, although it does look quite lovely. The length is perfect on you, oh la la!

You have such a great eye for clothing with possibility-- does that make sense? I don't know if I could ever see that dress 15" longer & plus shoulder pads and think "Man, I could make this look fabulous!" I only WISH I had your fabulous goodwill-ing skills :)

Ha! I second Marys comment above. You have "the eye"...

I just so love those boots.

oh oh oh you do look like a little super hero! So funny! A well dressed and extremely fashionable super hero with killer boots, if I do say so myself. I think we need to give you an appropriate super hero name.... hmm I will brain storm on this one.

anyways, I adore this dress a million times over. Its so flowy and pretty on you! So glad you chopped off those extra inches, it looks truly adorable this way. Its such a great monochromatic look with the color in the tights and the dress. It looks like such a gorgeous iridescent material. And those boots of course just pop. I found red ones just like that, but over the knee ones from C.Russe for like 30 dollars! But they were all out of my size.

I was devastated as you can imagine.

sad face.

anyways, beautiful as always darling :)

Great thrifty find.
you know what happened today? Your boots called and said they wanted a vacation over here in Canada... they'll send postcards. Great. Thanks.
