BACK TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING

1-26-10 1

And just like that, the nice, semi-warm weather is gone.  Once again, we woke up to a dusting of the white stuff today.  Not only was it quite a bit chillier than the last week, but it's windy as all get out, too.  I hate that!

It may be cold, but I'm still sporting the short sleeves.  Crazy, I know, but I have a meeting this afternoon in a very warm room.  I've learned my lesson about layering too much on Tuesdays - that is, do it and you'll sweat bullets.  I did, however, grab John's cardigan on my way out the door.  Just in case ...

Speaking of cozy sweaters, I got SUCH a cool vintage shawl collar cardigan today!  I'm so stoked to wear it!  Wheee!

  1. I love your boots and your super cool tights! Are your boots over the knee boots? I dug out a pair that always rip my tights, but tried wearing them anyway even though in addition to ripping my tights they also fall down and because slouchy mid-calf boots by the end of the day!

  2. Oh hello snow. I'm from Chicago, and yesterday it snowed and today we woke up to a lovely blanket of...wait for it...ICE. Yep, a shiny new sheet of ice.

I love this look and how you tempered the tights with the boots and the dress. I think it'll look even more fabulous with your red boots!

  16. I have a very similar dress that I only wear on special occasions. Somehow the LBD idea has been in my head as an evening look, but you are reminding me that black dresses can be casual chic and totally daytime appropriate.

  24. I gotta admit that I'm not the biggest fan of leopard, but I absolutely love this outfit. Maybe it's because everything else was in a neutral or maybe because the leopard was only visible at the knee- regardless I love it!
