wrapped in nubby-ness

Exhaaaaaale.  I am officially done with wedding season.  The money's great, but kids, poke me with a fork, because I. Am. Done.  I feel like I've been in the spin cycle for the last month or so.  There's just been so much going on, I was running out of brain space to put it all.  Now, I'm looking forward to the time and energy to focus on my next project.  No, I can't sit still.  I couldn't figure out why I was so neurotic this week until John kindly reminded me that I've been working for a solid two weeks.  Girl needs a break.

Earlier this week, I realized that I made a grave error on someone's wedding programs.  The wedding is tomorrow, so I busted my butt all week to redo them and then drove 130 miles rounds trip this morning to deliver them.  I truly didn't mind.  Knowing I am done for a while was all I needed to de-stress and enjoy the gorgeous scenery.  Fall is so, so beautiful around here.

(It's no nipplegate, butPoor Iggy was having a bit of a wardrobe malfunction with his leash):

This is the kind of fall outfit that I lie in fields of grain and daydream about.  Just kidding.  But it is the most perfect fall outfit.  I say that a lot, don't I?  Guess that means I really like my clothes or something.  I knew I wanted to pair this sweater with this skirt (because what other skirt would I possibly wear?), but wasn't quite sure on how to finish off the look.  Until ... I saw this post of Keiko's.  Hello, perfection.  It's the dreamiest combination of cozy, chunky, feminine and textural.  Love, love, love and love.

What would be your perfect fall outfit?

  1. this is DEFINITELY the perfect fall outfit. i am swooning over the knee socks with the wedges (knee socks are definitely on the to-buy list).
by the way, i think you single-handedly helped target sell out of those lace skirts--you began a movement!
