ramblings of an early morning

Off to an early start today!  Love it!

one::  I had a banner weekend, ya'll!  It was so productive and included lots of quality time with John.  We were without power for 8 hours on Saturday, so we were forced to do things like go to the bookstore, out for lunch and to the movies.  Rough deal, huh?

two::  We watched 2 great movies this weekend:  The Fighter (Marky Mark be still my heart) and Runaways (bad-ass girls with rockin' 70's style ... be still my heart again). I highly recommend them both!

three::  Sunday was filled with not so fun things, but it was so satisfying to get them all done.  We gave our house a serious cleaning and then ... WE FINISHED OUR TAXES!!!!!  Well, they still have to go to the accountant, but our part is done.  Since we just finished 2009's in October ... ahem ... it felt like we had just done them.  It's by far one of my least favorite activities EVER, but it's a necessary evil and we are done for another year.  Yay!  Now, I just hope maybe we'll get something back ... Doubtful, but a girl can dream.
four::  I tried 2 new recipes this weekend.  Both were from Hungry Girl: PB 'n Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding (two satisfied thumbs up) and Fettuccine Hungry Girlfredo using tofu shirataki noodles (a new favorite, no doubt!).  How have I never heard of these noodles before?!  Pasta lovers, rejoice!

five::  Can you believe that Friday was warm enough for bare legs and no coat (high 60's), and today, we woke up to 1-2" of frozen rain/snow.  Winter has reared its ugly head once again.  And it's gross.  But spring can't be too far away ...

How was your weekend?  Do anything exciting?  Productive?  Fun?  Not fun?

Be sure to check out another round of Blue Collar Collective and the Shabby Apple dress giveaway!!!
