cooling off

Yesterday was the long-awaited first day of summer.  Hoorah!  And boy, it had no mercy.  It was H-O-T!  After traipsing around all day in a long (non-breathable) jersey skirt, I couldn't wait to get home and change into something a bit breezier.

I had every intention of running a few errands in this, but spent too much time hemming this and then deciding how to wear it.  Yes, it takes much longer than you think to pick out a belt and shoes.

The fabulously thrifty Steph sent this playful romper to me last week.  She had her time with it and didn't feel like taking the time to alter it, so she offered it to me.  Not one to turn down free threads, I jumped on it.  It came with one cuffed leg and one used-to-be-cuffed, but needed-to-be-fixed leg.  I decided to lose the cuffs altogether (seriously, there is just not enough room between my legs for any extra fabric) and just did a straight hem.  I love how it turned out - so comfy and perfect for a hot SUMMER day!

Haha!  Still under $100!
