unique pieces

Yesterday, a very kind reader left this comment:
"I really love your outfit.  I've been lurking for a while without commenting, but just wanted to drop a note saying I love your style, and, I am also inspired by seeing the repetition of certain fabulous items (like these pants! I can't get over how amazing and unique they look!!) across outfits.  That is what I am striving for in my own closet - a set of unique favorites that I will reach for many many times."

Love this for so many reasons!

It's nice to know that someone else sees my style in the way that I intend for it to be seen.  I was just thinking the other day about how much I love my unque pieces and how important it is for me to make them work for many aspects of my life.  This skirt is a perfect example.  I think this is the third or fourth time I've worn it since May.  Pieces like this make me happy and when I'm happy, I'm putting the best version of myself forward.  I also love the idea of a remixable wardrobe.  I'm trying to hard to curb my shopping habits, especially when it comes to buying brand new, mass produced items.  I have so many clothes as it is.  If I can't make them work, then why bother adding more?

How do you feel about your style?  Is it saying what you want it to say?  More importantly, do you think your style uses your wardrobe efficiently?
