Welp ... summer as I know it is officially over. Students are back in town, work is starting to pick up and today kicks off the Grange Fair. If you've been reading for the last couple of years, then you know what that means - for the sixteenth year of my life, I will be spending the next week elbow deep in apple dumplings and homemade ice cream. Yes, there are worse things. And at the end of it all, I'll be flush with cash and in desperate need of a long nap. But I love it!
The only downside is that is truly is the last week of summer. The fair runs until next Thursday and then, it's Labor Day weekend already! How did this happen?! Don't get me wrong, fall is arguably the most incredible season there is, but it's followed by winter. And every year, I go through my favorite season riddled with anxiety over the cold dead months to come. Boo.
Until then, I will carry on ... one pretty dress at a time. I nabbed this one on the Gap sales rack (I know, I know - I'm such a hypocrite) a couple of weeks ago for a song. It just looked too pretty to pass up. And so I gave in. Evil company: 1 Kyla: 0
